Samsung reportedly increases production of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge

Samsung’s latest glass-and-metal design toting high-end smartphones have generated massive

amounts of interest among consumers. Samsung is expecting to ship record-high volumes of

 the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge when they go on sale starting April 10.
Samsung’s sales partners and carriers have already pre-ordered 20 million units of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge.

Now, ETNews is reporting that Samsung has boosted the production of these devices as it is looking

 to build 13 million units by the end of April, out of which 4 million units will be the Galaxy S6 edge.

 If you’re wondering as to why Galaxy S6 edge will have a smaller share in production, there are

two possible reasons for that. First, the dual-edge curved display is hard to manufacture resulting in

lower production. Secondly, the Galaxy S6 edge is priced higher than the Galaxy S6, so there are

chances that people might opt for the normal variant.
